This technique uses a glass powder and stencils on white glass to create patterns in the colours of your choice. A particulate mask will be provided but you can bring your own. We have lots of stencils to choose from but you can also bring your own. Feel free to get in touch in advance to see if we have the stencil motif you are looking for. No experience necessary!

In session One we will create two art glass vessels. In session two we will learn all about soy wax and wood wicks and turn our art glass into candles! Note that soy wax is biodegradable and can be cleaned up with soap and water. When your candle is finished you can use your art glass for anything else or refill for a new candle now that you have the know how.

This is a two session project. First session is creating the custom art glass “chimes”. Second session is creating the soldered copper “branch” and assembling your chimes. So you will learn how to create original art glass AND how to use solder and copper to create a branch sculpture!

This is a great introduction if you have never worked with glass before but also a really fun creative outlet if you have. After years of creating with glass I still find making these 3’x3” dishes fun. In this one session course you will learn the basics of cutting and forming glass and some techniques for creating designs. There will be lots of ideas and colours to choose from.

We will each make 3 dishes that measure 3”x3”. They will go into the kiln that night and will be ready for pick up approximately one week later.

Learn about the magic of glass colour reactions and soy candle making!

This is a super fun workshop and very accessible. In the first session you will learn about how combinations of glass colours can create an interesting reactive effect. You will create a white base glass platter with the overlay colours of your choice. In the second session you will learn all about how to make a soy wax candle with crackling wood wicks. We will go through the steps with trouble shooting tips to turn your glass platter into a delightful soy candle. Glass is approx 11”x8” and will be filled with 100% pure soy wax with wood wicks.

We will work on building up thick layers of glass to create interesting and reflective patterns. You will create with a clear glass and overlay colours of your choice.
